6 reasons why Divi theme is the greatest WordPress theme ever

In this post, I’ll tell you about my personal experience with the greatest WordPress theme ever made – Divi. But before I dive into details let me just say a few words of how it all began.

So I bought my first domain and hosting ever in March 2018. My first expense related to blogging, ever!

And I was hoping it would be one of my last. After all, what do I need more? Now I have a WordPress installed, I’ll find me some free plugins and for the theme, well there are thousands of free WordPress Themes out there.

So my spending is probably done for this year!

…Or so I thought.

You see, I’ve been meaning to start blogging for years now because I love writing and sharing my knowledge, experience and good ideas. I never knew any blogger personally and had no idea what blogging actually is.

So I’ve tried learning with a free theme. This lasted for a week or so. Then I switched to another random free theme.

When I started customization, things didn’t work as it should or as I personally wanted.

I must admit. I didn’t have the time nor the patience to make a research back then about what are the most recommended and responsive free WordPress Themes. I can be quite impatient sometimes and I just wanted this website to be done already!

Now I’m not saying free themes don’t work at all. I’m just saying you should be careful when choosing one. You should make an in-depth research and analysis.

There are many great free themes out there!

However, the disadvantage is that most are bloated and bad for SEO due to uncorrected bugs, they lack support, and have limited customization options.

If you’re not that picky, then go ahead start with a free theme…you’ll notice pretty soon how picky you really are.

I even surprised myself. I thought I wouldn’t complicate so much about every detail but I was wrong.

Only after you start customizing and experimenting, you’ll know the kind of style you want. And if you’re anything like me, you are going to change your mind about ten times a day in the beginning! 🙂

Plus when I came across some issue I couldn’t fix I didn’t always get the help and support I needed. I didn’t want to spend money every other day by paying to some random guy to fix an error for me.

God knows how many of those will happen in the next month!

And this is how I figured out that the free theme isn’t for me. I was too picky and lacked every technical knowledge!

I decided to purchase a theme.

If you think this means that all the trouble was over, think again. I was suddenly torn between hundreds of Premium themes running and screaming in front of me.

So I read all kinds of articles, watched YouTube videos and reviews. I’ve had at least 20 such themes on my list that came into last round.

Divi was one of them.

I could never make a firm decision if I had to choose between other themes. But Divi was something special and I know it was the right choice from the start.

Why you may ask?

To answer that, here are my 6 top reasons why I will never let go of Divi WordPress Theme.

1. Super responsive (desktop, tablets and mobile devices)

Divi is infinitely flexible. When using the Divi builder (more on it later), you can have a direct preview on how it looks with each of these options.

Divi builder is automatically set to ‘Desktop View’ but you can simply click on the ‘Phone View’ or ‘Tablet View’ option and the screen will adjust to that so you can customize each option separately in order to achieve maximum results.

This theme gave me an option to build my website from scratch in the easiest, most fun and creative way possible. It was exactly what I needed.

2. Huge technical support community

I once came across an issue that wasn’t really an issue, it was more my misunderstanding due to my lack of technical knowledge.

I contacted the support community. I reached out to them over the theme provider’s website Elegant Themes. I only sent a message over the live chat. More members of the team responded in a very short amount of time which caught me by surprise. The ‘issue’ was solved in 10 minutes.

I used to be always prepared for bad support and trouble so this really made my day! I’ll talk about those terrible experiences in another post.

3. Endless customization options (start from scratch)

Literally, I don’t think any other theme can do this much. At least I haven’t heard of it. If you know one, tell me about it and leave a reply in the comments below.

Divi includes a powerful drag & drop page builder – The Divi Visual Builder along with several pre-configured templates for complex layouts. You can use the templates, configure as desired, or start from scratch to create the page you want to see.

Yes, it’s a bit of a learning curve when starting to use a Divi Builder but if I could do it all alone then you can undoubtedly do it, too. I can honestly say that after one month I have everything (almost everything haha) under control.

It’s actually ridicilously easy to use you just have to get used to the builder. Besides, there are countless videos made by Divi team and many other people, even blogger themselves.

Those videos helped me see it all how it works first hand.

You can visit the official website from the Elegant Themes to see what is all about or you can watch this video on YouTube.

4. Easy to Create Sales Pages (without Requiring a Plugin)

Many business owners want the ability to create traditional sales pages that do not display the regular site title and/or menu. This allows you to provide targeted information to the visitor without the distraction of other links to click on.

For many themes, the only way to accomplish this is to use a plugin like OptimizePress or a service like LeadPages.

In Elegant Themes, it’s easy to create a sales page and the builder actually includes a few templates to help you get started.

If you want to create a sales page that doesn’t display the normal theme’s header with the logo and menu items, it’s as easy as selecting “Blank Page” in the Page Attributes instead of “Default Template.”

5. Countless Tutorials (for literally everything)

Elegant Themes provides quite extensive documentation about their themes generally. Divi’s documentation is aimed at helping the non-tech savvy to familiarize themselves with the theme and its features.

6. Pricing

I can’t say this theme is one of the cheapest around, for the right reason of course. Divi takes blogging experience to a completely higher level and so it deserves to have its price.

So you basically have two options. You can either pay for a year or for a lifetime.

I wasn’t completely sure what I was getting into so I paid for a year, the price is $89. I had a birthday that month so I told my family to gather money for it as a gift to me, haha 🙂 The best gift ever!

If I knew I would love Divi that much, I would have paid for a lifetime right from the start. Of course, in this case, I wouldn’t expect my family to pay for the whole thing 🙂

The price for lifetime access is $249. Not the lowest price but hey, imagine that you will never have to pay for anything related to it anymore! A lifetime of regularly updated theme and its plugins, a variety of templates, awesome Divi builder, new and amazing features and modules are constantly released and the support is fantastic.

If you think about it, it is a reasonable price for what you get. Next year I’ll just purchase a lifetime access and forget all about it.

March 2019 EDIT: I purchased a lifetime access and I paid $170 because they had a sale in March 2019 (it was a Divi anniversary). What a coincidence, I didn’t even know about it until I was ready to extend my access that I previously had only for 1 year. I was so happy! Now I’ll never have to worry about themes because Divi Theme keeps on improving radically and it never disappoints.

I am definitely going to sign up as an affiliate. I really want to share a good word.
